PBIS CALL TO ACTION

● Our Lateness plan begins this week on Tuesday for Period 2 – please encourage your students to get to school on time

● Talk up Career Day – encourage your students to take advantage of this amazing opportunity – remind them to dress appropriately and be ready with questions for their speakers

● Parent-Teacher Conferences are Thursday and Friday - reach out to parents you need to see so they can adjust their schedules including child care, in order to attend the conferences

● GUIDANCE REMINDERS
#1 - When filling out referrals you should only check off AP Guidance or AP Security.  Ms. Bernstein (AP Guidance) will make sure the referral gets to the correct counselor / Mr. Raschilla (AP Security) will assign the referral to the correct Dean
#2 - Referral Guidelines – remember the protocol for letting HSFI staff know about at-risk students:
(a) At-Risk Referral form
(b) If the issues persist within a given marking period, fill out a Guidance Referral
(c) Start fresh at the beginning of the 2nd Marking Period – go back to the At-Risk Referral form
PLEASE REMEMBER THE NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY TUTORING REFERRALS

COOL THINGS GOING ON @ HSFI
HSFI Annual Career Day on Friday
Thanks to your referrals and our Advisory Board, we have 50 professionals from all 4 of our majors scheduled to present on Friday morning to our students.  This annual event is a tremendous opportunity for our students to hear the journeys of these professionals and will hopefully inspire them to succeed in the same manner.

Dental Services Have Begun at the Falcon Health Center
This past week we had the first day with the Dental staff on site with students already being seen for appointments.

93% Enrollment of HSFI Students at the Falcon Health Center
It is wonderful to see that so many of our students are taking advantage of these QUALITY & FREE services at the Health Center.  I am so proud of how we look out for our students in every possible way – academically, socially and their health care.

A quotation often borrowed from another writer and set at the beginning of a book or one of its sections to suggest its theme or mood.  In The Godfather, the novelist, Mario Puzo has an epigraph from the French writer, Balzac: “Behind every great fortune there is a crime.”
Tuesday, March 8
Dissolution (n) a separation into component parts; disintegration.  In 1970 Paul McCartney filed a lawsuit in London's High Court for the dissolution of The Beatles' partnership. He has overseen the dissolution of Haiti’s Parliament; a move that critics say was a power grab.
