CALL TO ACTION
THINK ABOUT 2018-19 PLANS
On Monday, June 25 our staff will be spending the afternoon in ‘Genius Hour’ sessions focused on planning for 2018-19 school year (students in attendance in the morning will be doing their own version of a Genius Hour).  Please think about what we should change or adjust for next year.

BE AN ACTIVE PROCTOR FOR THESE HIGH STAKES REGENTS EXAMS
It is critical that everyone be ACTIVE proctors during the testing period – we need to maintain the integrity of these exams and in some instances, how we proctor can be the difference between students passing and failing these exams.
Here are some important reminders as we approach this high stakes testing period:
□ All Proctors, including reserves, must report to room 202 to check in & return to 201 until the end of their assignment
□ Classroom and Hallway proctors must actively proctor at all times.
□ Proctors may not use electronic devices unless there is an emergency.

DISPLAY PROFESSIONAL IN EXECUTING YOUR PROCTORING ASSIGNMENTS
Be courteous towards your colleagues when executing your proctoring assignments – this includes showing up on time to your relief assignments, coming back to your testing room when on break in a timely manner and following hand off instructions when taking over a testing room.

COMPLETE CHAPTER 408 FORMS
If you have not done so already, please stop in to room 329 by Friday June 22 and complete the Chapter 408 forms for your respective students.

WEEKLY BULLETIN for Week Beginning 6.11.18

CALL TO ACTION
ENJOY THE MEDIA COVERAGE OF OUR SHOWCASES
This past week HSFI received amazing media coverage with showcases on MSNBC, NY1, the New York Post and WNYC.
First, we were on MSNBC  (Stephanie Ruhle Show) which showcased our GLAM4GOOD event where some big names in the fashion and media industries spoke to our senior students about what was needed to be successful while also giving back to the community around them.
NY1 Spectrum News covered our Kleinfeld Bridal showcase where a group of 11th graders competed to win through our partnership with the famous ‘Say Yes To The Dress’ store.
Next is some coverage about our Anti-Prom team that was instrumental in creating a safe space for students who do not feel comfortable in the traditional ‘Prom’ space – first is an article from the NY Post and then a radio spot from WNYC with a brief write-up.

All of the website links to the media coverage is located in one article on the HSFI website in the ‘Fashion News’ section – hope you ENJOY!
