CALL TO ACTION

Every week, I will share with you a ‘Call To Action’ around our school goals that will help drive our work for that week.

HSFI ‘CARED FOR’ GOAL – RELATIONSHIPS & REALNESS

LOOK OUT FOR TRAUMA IN OUR STUDENTS AS THE TERM WINDS DOWN

While many of our students have thrived in the return to school, we know there are many students who are struggling.  Students are worried about failing classes, going to summer school and taking standardized Regents tests for the first time in years.  Please look for changes in your students and let one of our mental health professionals know if you see a child in distress.

HSFI ‘CHALLENGED’ GOAL – RIGOR & RELEVANCE

THE THIRD & FINAL MARKING PERIOD OF THE SPRING TERM CONTINUES

The third and final marking period of the Spring term continues - please make sure students know where they stand in their classes and know what is required for them to receive the grades that they would like to receive.  This marking period is especially critical for at-risk students because summer school and promotion decisions are based on these grades.

NEW ITEMS:

COPIER ROOM ISSUES

We have recently been informed that there are supply chain issues for the copiers.   We currently have supplies but we are running low on staples for the copiers.   In order to alleviate the problem, early next week we plan to place 2 electric staplers into the following offices: 228, 329, 425, 545A and 844.

There will also be a few in the copy room.   These staplers have a capacity to staple up to 30 sheets.   They should remain in the places they are assigned so that all staff can use them when needed.   We also plan to have a few high capacity staplers in the main offices once they are delivered.   We expect that the shortage may only be for a short time but we wanted to be prepared.    If we officially run out of staples an email will be sent to all staff.   Copies will continue to be collated so that if you wish to staple, you may do so.
