2.Gaming at HSFI: International Gaming Day was Saturday 11/21/15
It was so much fun developing problem solving skill, team building skills and sharing gaming knowledge.  Students brought many games as they played xbox, PlayStation and Wii. "Game On" for 20 HSFI students, 6 siblings and two parents: Jonathan Melendez and Tanya Mcleod. Thank you for your support.

Also,we had Toli, a high school professional gamer who is invited to gaming tournaments and Musa, who is a gamer and professional  film editor; our gaming experts were invited for a lunch time lecture. They had a Gaming Trivia and gave students prizes for questions like, What was the first gaming system? "From the Kingdom Hearts, who was Sora's childhood friends?" Thank you Mr. Blank for supporting HSFI's first International Gaming Event and the pizza, Many participants suggested that HSFI should have a Family Gaming Night!!!

Thanks you to Thomas Knowlton, Librarian and "Gaming Guru" as he and I presented on Election Day to NYC Librarians a program on Gaming Literacy at the Mets Stadium. We are planning a gaming presentation for Chancellors Day.

3. Book and Magazine Ordering for the library:
Please let me know if you have a book or magazine request for HSFI library. It is wonderful to hear so many students coming in to get books that their teachers recommended. I order from a big vendor so the selection can be limiting. I instruct many students on how to get their books from the public libraries through MyLibraryNYC.org. I am trying to get current statistics as the first year that this was rolled out HSFI was #1 circulating school in the program.

Please let me know if you need assistance on MyLibraryNYC.org to order books sets.  x5013
